content26 Content Specialists

Devon GualtieriDevon Gualtieri – Managing Editor

Devon came to content26 in spring 2009 as a copyeditor. She soon also became a Project Lead for a large content26 department and several high-profile clients. Along with her degree in religion from Oberlin College, Devon holds an editing certificate from the University of Washington. As the content26 Managing Editor, Devon daily expresses her love for words–she’s studied six different languages (including ancient Greek and Hebrew) and boasts dual citizenship with the US and Italy. She’s an avid reader, and often wakes up to find herself cradling her Kindle.

Angela DelarmenteAngela Delarmente – Special Project Lead

Angela began working at content26 as a freelance writer in fall 2010, and soon took charge as a Project Lead for special vendors. Before joining the team, she completed her MFA in Fiction at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Among the things she enjoys about working at content26 is its flexible, creative environment. When she’s not managing projects or picking up the occasional writing assignment, she enjoys working in her home’s metalsmithing studio and writing short stories.

Augustin KendallAugustin Kendall – Editor

Augustin, a six-year resident of Philadelphia (also known as Portland-East, albeit much dirtier), joined content26 as a contract copyeditor in fall 2010. He became a proper employee of the company in 2011, after years of staunch devotion to the pleasure and pain of being a freelance professional. He likes to wax poetic about punctuation and language use, cuddle other people’s dogs, and explore cities by foot and bike.

Daniel Ward – Project Lead

Daniel started as a freelance writer at content26 in 2010. Prior to joining the team, he served as the Content Writer/Audio Producer at Vidiator Technologies. Currently one of content26′s in-house Content Specialists, he now writes for and tests various products, with a specialty on consumer electronics. Away from work, Daniel enjoys engaging in creative writing and indulging his passion for home theater. He holds a Certificate in Technical Writing from Bellevue College, and is currently finishing up his BA in Communications from Ashford University.

Dave McCaulDave McCaul – Vendor Manager | Consumer Electronics

Dave has worked as a Project Lead for one of content26′s most demanding departments since August of 2009. He doesn’t mind saying that this job is the best he’s ever had—every day is different and new and exciting things are happening all the time. Runner-up was a position playing background piano music at the Royal Fork Buffet in Fargo (don’t go looking for the restaurant–it’s all boarded up now). At Southern Methodist University, Dave studied Spanish and English Literature, and afterward he sought to publish his short stories (don’t go looking for those, either). His personal philosophy is that you can’t know the world until you travel, and you can’t travel without burning a few bridges. Dave also harbors a fondness for Samoyed dogs.

David ZimmermanDavid Zimmerman – Special Project Lead

David was born and raised in a small logging town in southwest Washington. He studied journalism at the Edward R. Murrow School of Communication at Washington State University, and afterward toured Montana and Kentucky as a news reporter for ABC TV. Dave covered 200,000 acre forest fires in the Big Sky wilderness, and flew with the Kentucky National Guard as they provided aid in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. As much as he enjoyed Kentucky’s small-batch bourbon distilleries and the horse racing, a return to Seattle was inevitable. Hired in spring 2010, Dave is now a content26 Project Lead. When he isn’t at the office (and sometimes when he is) he enjoys reading about high-speed rail, debating fútbol’s superiority to football, and humming his favorite show tunes from “Meet Me in St. Louis.”

Elizabeth OlmstedElizabeth Olmsted – Special Project Lead

Aside from a brief stint in England, Elizabeth has lived in the Pacific Northwest her entire life. She studied Visual Journalism at Western Washington University, during which time she was frequently asked one of life’s increasingly tougher questions: “What’s that?” To this day, she still occasionally ponders potential answers as she pursues her passions of writing, photography, and informative graphics. Elizabeth was hired at content26 in spring 2011 where she works as a Content Specialist. When she’s not lost in thought, Elizabeth loves to cook, read, swing dance, or go on long drives so she can sing loudly to the steering wheel.

Emily WittenhagenEmily Wittenhagen – Vendor Manager | Beauty, Health, Personal Care

Emily grew up in Danvers, MA, the former site of Old Salem Village. She studied writing in Farmington, ME, the birthplace of earmuff inventor Chester Greenwood, and in Asheville, NC, which has the longest autumn season in the country. Emily has taught English in Le Mans, France, home of the world’s oldest car race, and worked in book packaging in New York, a city once traded to the British for Pulau Run, an obscure Indonesian island once known for its nutmeg. She now lives in Seattle, the first city in the US to play a Beatles song on the radio. Emily swims, writes and edits poetry, and works as a Project Lead at content26.

Eve Gruschow – Project Lead | Baby, Toys, Apparel, Shoes

Eve was hired in spring 2010 as a writer, but has since carried many titles due to her various training in writing, video, and voice over work. After obtaining a BA in Creative Writing from Western Washington University, Eve took advantage of her dual-citizenship to spend one year in northern France studying the language and visiting family. Her current status as Project Lead and Content Specialist allows Eve to indulge her multitasking talents. At work, she can often be found listening to Grooveshark and lip syncing while checking over a project’s content. Eve has been working on her fantasy trilogy since 2009 with an exclusive writers group, placing her one step closer to her two life goals: to become a published author, and to have a den with window seats.

Katherine McDonoughKatherine McDonough – Business Manager

Katherine joined the content26 team in spring 2010. As an Editor and Project Lead, Katherine merges her clever eye for detail with her keen organizational skills to create a compelling product. She developed her editing expertise under the guidance of seasoned local editors and has held various positions in project management, operations, and event coordination. Prior to content26, she worked with a local venture capital firm supporting two of the company’s founding partners. Outside of work, Katherine balances her love of food, wine, and books with travel and a little long-distance running. Katherine holds a BA in Humanities and a Certificate in Editing from the University of Washington. She lives with her husband in Seattle.

Trinity HartmanTrinity Hartman – Blog Editor

A former cheesehead, Trinity’s career started in Spokane, Washington where she worked as a newspaper reporter. After wearing out two pairs of hiking boots, Trinity moved to Spain before eventually migrating north to Germany. Trinity settled in Bonn, where she worked as a writer and editor. After five years of the Old World, Trinity was ready for something new. She took the long way to Seattle, wearing out another pair of hiking boots during her wanderings. She began working at content26 in the spring of 2011 as a Content Specialist.

Will GierschWill Giersch – Project Lead | Consumer Electronics

Will is a proud, lifelong Seattleite. Earning a BA in Journalism from the University of Washington, Will cultivated his writing skills, as well as an appetite for information and a keen mindfulness for detail. Will joined content26′s ranks in early 2011 and currently applies himself as an in-house Content Specialist. He spends as much of his free time as possible outdoors, hiking, camping, fishing, or playing one of his many favorite sports. When somehow forced indoors, he loves to watch sophomoric comedy shows and movies. Will resides happily in the Phinney Ridge neighborhood with his wife and two dogs.

Claire Fox – Content Specialist

Claire was hired as a Content Specialist in the summer of 2011, just after finishing her B.A. in Comparative Literature at the University of Washington. Aside from a few errant months here and there, she has called the Pacific Northwest her home, living in Seattle, Spokane, Portland, and Olympia. When she’s not learning the ins and outs of content writing, Claire can be found in her tiny kitchen, where she experiments with cast-iron cookware, or in the projection booth at Seattle’s Northwest Film Forum, where she is learning to project your favorite movies.
